Firefox For Mac Not Opening
Firefox from command line not opening url in already running firefox on Mac OS X [duplicate] Ask Question. Up vote 1 down vote favorite. Possible Duplicate. 'A copy of Firefox is already open. Setting up a reminder in outlook for mac. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time.' I am expecting it to open the url in new tab in the already running version of Firefox. Firefox will not start because of missing libraries. If you installed Firefox outside of your package manager, make sure that your system has the libraries listed in the system requirements.
And, just to be clear: by whitespace I mean 'my file.html', 'my folder'. The bug probably also occur when your folder/file names have non-latin characters.

Secondly, open the utility, 'Activity Monitor' and click on 'all processes'. Do you see firefox running? If it is, click on it, and then click on the 'Quit Process' button. If Firefox isn't actually running, the first thing I might try is to remove the file, 'org.mozilla.firefox.plist' which is located in your Username/library/preferences folder. Just throw it away, and then try to restart firefox. The file you tossed should be re-created.

I am going to try downloading a totally new version and installing that. Do you have any other suggestions? The version number of what I use (on the profile where it works) is 2.0.0.1. Jetreader, My version of FireFox is 2.0.0.3. I guess I'd try to run a 'repair permissions' unless you've already tried that.

It's just webkinz that doesn't work. I've also cleared my catche, cookies all of that. The only thing I haven't done is uninstall & reinstall it all.
