The popup dialog prevents using any of the other buttons in the program while it is taking the dominant focus over the program. There are many reasons to abort an upload, this is why it is so important for FTP transfers to have that option on uploads & downloads, to abort the transfer and shut the transfer down without closing the entire program. This means the abort option has to be in the popup that appears warning of the same file.
